Lesion and cyst removal refers to a medical procedure in which an abnormal skin lesion or cyst is surgically removed from the skin or underlying tissue. Skin lesions that may require removal include sebaceous cysts, lipomas (clusters of subcutaneous fat), seborrheic keratoses, angiomas and other abnormal skin lesions.
In cosmetic surgery, removal of lesions or cysts may be recommended for a variety of reasons, particularly if the lesion is visible and intrusive. The technique used to remove the lesion or cyst will depend on its type, size, location and other factors. The procedure can take from a few minutes to an hour.

Recovery after removal of lesions or cysts will depend on the technique used and the size of the lesion. In general, there may be some pain, swelling and redness around the site of the procedure, which should gradually disappear over time.
