RECONTOUR (Top Surgery)

Reshape the chest, affirm the identity

RECONTOUR (also called Top Surgery) aims to transform a feminine chest into a masculine-appearing torso. It is one of the central steps in the FtM affirmation journey, creating a masculine silhouette that is both affirmed and aligned with gender identity.

Several techniques exist depending on body type:

Double-incision mastectomy: suited for larger chests or cases with excess skin.

Periareolar mastectomy: best for smaller chests, with a more discreet scar.

Pectoral implants: to enhance muscular contour or complement surgery.

Double-incision mastectomy

Procedure: removal of breast tissue through two horizontal incisions under the pectoral, with repositioning and reduction of the areola.

Indications: larger chests, excess skin after weight loss (including Ozempic® / Wegovy®).

Results: flat chest, visible scars that fade over time.

Periareolar mastectomy

Procedure: circular incision around the areola, removal of breast tissue, skin redraping.

Indications: small breasts, firm skin, good elasticity.

Results: nearly invisible scars, natural masculine chest.

Pectoral implants

Procedure: placement of cohesive silicone implants under the pectoral muscle.

Indications: patients with little muscle volume or wishing to enhance chest contour.

Results: more defined, muscular masculine chest.

Mastectomie double incision:
